Community Information
Whitwick Park Bowls Club
Whitwick Park Bowls Club is a small friendly club, which was founded in 1944. The club offers the opportunity for new members, new bowlers and more experienced players to come together to enjoy the fascinating game of bowls.
Whatever your ability, you will be more than welcome to join in friendly matches at the weekends, with occasional games midweek. This is the main focus of Whitwick Park: to play other local teams in a sociable and enjoyable environment throughout the summer months.
For the more serious bowler, there are various league games to become involved with. In addition, there are several club competitions in which to participate.
If you are interested in sampling the game in a relaxed atmosphere, then there are several ways to take it further:
- Attend one of our bi-annual open General Meetings (usually on the first Sunday in either October or March) which takes place from 10:00am in the Clubhouse by the green at Whitwick Park
- Call in at the Club on Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm throughout the summer (May to September) to join in a casual game of bowls or receive some coaching to get you started.
