PARISH MANAGER

£33,851 – £36,431 per annum (pay award pending from April 2023)

Part-time – 30 hours per week

This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced, enthusiastic, competent and proactive person to help take the Parish Council forward in its fourth term.

We are looking for someone with strong administrative and financial skills and experience plus the ability to provide sound and impartial advice to our councillors.  Previous local authority/public sector experience although not essential would be advantageous.  Candidates should be educated to ‘A’ level and/or NVQ Level 3 standard or equivalent, have GCSE’s in Maths and English at Grade C or above or equivalent and either hold, or be committed to obtaining, CiLCA (Certificate in Local Council Administration) or equivalent.

You will need to be able work flexibly and on your own initiative from the Council’s Community Parish Office.  Attendance at evening meetings and occasional weekend working is also required.

The Council’s responsibilities continue to evolve and immediate challenges include the compilation of a directory of local services, future arrangements for grounds maintenance and the refurbishment and launch of a community hall.
