Whitwick Park will be closed on Monday 25 January. The paths and driveway are too dangerous to let us open safely. The hidden ice under the snow means that even with gritting it would not be safe. We don’t want accidents to happen and put more strain on the NHS.
Keep safe please – we’ll re-open when things thaw enough.
UPDATE: Whitwick Park stays closed on Tuesday 26 January as North Street driveway and the entrances from the jitty are still treacherous with ice under the snow. We will be gritting some parts of the pathway and hope that the forecast rain may start a thaw later today. Other parish land remains ‘open’.
