Whitwick celebrated the Queens Platinum Jubilee in style.  In the words of a Woodstock in Whitwick member:

“Thursday 2nd June 2022 started bright and early, a lovely warm summer’s day to make the Jubilee celebrations so much more fun. Our troop of volunteers set to work, transforming our park with bunting, flags and decorations.

Hundreds of locals came along, brought a picnic, shared a beer, and connected with their friends, family and  neighbours. It was fabulous to see everyone enjoying the break from the day-to-day grind.

Huge thanks go to Jackie and Sophie for the music, Meadow Barn View and The Little Fat Chef for refreshments, Bouncy Days for the inflatables, Whitwick Historical Society for a brilliant display, Principle Finance for their sponsorship, NWLDC for their support, all our stallholders and finally every single volunteer who helped make the day such a resounding success.

It was a ‘Day to Remember’, made all the more special by linking into Whitwick Scouts event of a torchlight procession, beacon lighting and fireworks.

Many thanks to everyone who came along and made it such a fantastic day – well done Whitwick, we did a great job!”

Whitwick Parish Council are proud to work in partnership with Woodstock in Whitwick.
