Government guidance remains that play equipment, skateparks and outdoor gyms are not to be used due to the risk of coronavirus being spread – this has been well publicised. Following repeat vandalism to signs/tape and nearly daily incidents of abuse, the parish council now prioritises its duty of care to staff, Park Rangers and councillors who will no longer be obliged to intervene. Police advise us that the public have to take responsibility for their own acts of stupidity.
It’s a shame that everyone can’t respect the rules, respect the park and playgrounds, respect themselves and respect each other.
