The first consultation – your ideas 

This first consultation phase runs from Monday 15 December 2025 to Saturday 7 February 2026.

All local residents, local businesses, local public and voluntary organisations, such as schools, health bodies and residents’ groups are being consulted.

Business and groups do not need to be located in the area they give feedback on, but should have links with the area and its residents.

 

This review could lead to changes such as: 

  • Adjusting boundaries or names of existing councils
  • Considering mergers or changes to ward arrangements.

    Next steps 

    There are two consultation phases to this review.

    At the moment, North West Leicester District Council are welcoming your ideas about how parished and unparished areas could change for the better.

    Then, over the summer next year, they are asking for your views on a set of draft recommendations for each area.

    Any changes made as a result of this review will be made at the elections in May 2027.
