Independent Custody Visitors are currently being recruited in the Leicestershire area.
People volunteering in this role work independently of the police service and make unannounced visits to police stations to check that people detained there are being properly looked after. Inspections take place across all times including evenings and weekends so you could still volunteer even if you work.
Training will be provided and travel expenses are reimbursed.
