• Anti-social behaviour and the misuse of off-road motorbikes & e-scooters in Thringstone, Greenhill and Agar Nook
We did – We have continued numerous patrols around Thringstone, Greenhill and the Agar Nook, officers seized an EScooter from Whitwick. We have also received more reports regarding E-Bikes, please continue helping provide information and
calling in when any ASB is taking place.
• Dangerous parking outside schools at drop off and pick up times in Hugglescote, Ellistown, Ibstock and Whitwick.
We did – Officers conducted parking patrols around Hugglescote, also putting some more time into Parsonwood Paddock and
Whitwick St. Johns. We have linked in with the Whitwick council and spoke to see what we can do with the parking in and around
Whitwick St. Johns, unfortunately we have had contact from the local residents and will be working hard to try and resolve this issue.
• Vehicles speeding in Hugglescote, Thringstone, Ibstock and Heather.
We did – Throughout the month officers have acted on intel, this intel is in regards to speeding, driving in an anti-social manner and also driving without the correct documents. We have had a couple of vehicles recovered under Section 165 of the Road
Traffic Act, and given out TORS.
Partnership Working
We have conducted multiple patch walks in the Bardon Area relating to different issues, we have
worked close with the council and civil enforcement with schools.
PCSO 6650 & PC 1550 attended the options and parents event in Ibstock Community School, this
was an opportunity for parents to engage with local neighbourhood officers. Thank you for everyone who came to us.
Increased Patrols
Officers have increased patrols around Castle Rock School due to the recent breaks in the area.
We have also had increased patrols related to caravan/ campervan thefts in the area. Please make sure
if you own these vehicles they are secured.
If you see any suspicious activity, please call on either 101 or 999.
Illegal Vehicles
Officers working with intel from the public we have recovered multiple vehicles, from driving with no documents to no MOT or TAX. Please make sure when you drive all is in order, otherwise you face losing your
vehicle or even getting points on your license.
Vehicles being driven in an anti social manner will be given a section 59, this was the case for one driver
recently. Please be cautious with your manner of driving.
Anti-Social Behaviour
Officers have continued to work with the public and the local council. Not only noise complaints
but we are still getting reports of the use of E-scooters, even after all the posts these are still
illegal to driver. Unless on private land.
When these are sighted we will continue to seize them.
