Flood warning in force: Grace Dieu Brook at Whitwick and Thringstone
Flooding is expected for: Grace Dieu Brook at Whitwick and Thringstone including junction on Ashby Road and Snarrow’s Road
Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding today.
Flooding is expected from the afternoon of 14 November 2025.
Areas most at risk are Farndale and Grace Dieu Road in Whitwick. Properties and roads in Whitwick and Thringstone are also at risk. Heavy rainfall is forecast over the next 18 hours. River levels at Whitwick upstream Gauge will remain high until tomorrow evening, 15/11/25.
We are clearing blockages from debris screens and monitoring rainfall and river levels.
Move family, pets and cars to safety and turn off gas, electricity and water if it is safe to do so.
