We have been asked to share this information from Leicestershire County Council regarding an upcoming flood drop-in session.
Flooding drop-in session in Coalville
Come along to the flooding drop-in session on Thursday 2nd October, between 2pm and 6pm at the Century Theatre Studio, Snibston, Ashby Road, Coalville, LE67 3LN.
At the event you will have the opportunity to talk to key agencies, including the Environment Agency and various council departments, who deal with flooding before it happens, respond during a flood emergency and support communities following a flooding incident.
Alongside key agencies and the Lead Local Flood Authority, Leicestershire County Council will have representatives from their Highways, Local Area Coordination, the Communities teams and the Local Resilience Forum, to speak to residents about the latest on flood-related work and local networks like Volunteer Flood Wardens.
Attendees will also be able to get advice on how to be prepared against flooding, as well as having the opportunity to speak with Flood Mary and to visit the FloodPod – a trailer packed with real life property flood resilience (PFR) measures that are designed specifically to protect your home or business.
If you have previously flooded, or you are concerned about your flood risk for the future, please do drop in between 2pm and 6pm to discuss your concerns and explore what help and support might be available to you.
