Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.
The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Leicestershire County Council to facilitate replacement of pedestrian bridge, and footway maintenance.
Road closures are required on Market Place and Church Lane on the 13th April 2026 as follows.
- Road Closure – Market Place approximately 50 metres south east of Church Lane on 16th April 2026 for two days between 09:00 and 15:00 each day.
- Road closure – Church Lane from North Street/Market Place junction to pub car park entrance on 20th April 2026 for five days between 09:00 and 15:00 each day.
These works also require Temporary Traffic Signals from 13th April for three weeks on Market Place From Church Lane for approximately 75 metres
The proposed alternative diversion route will be signed on site.
