The Great British Spring Clean has been running since 2016.

The Great British Spring Clean is the nation’s biggest mass-action environmental campaign. Each year, more than 400,000 volunteers clear litter from our streets, parks and beaches.

Whitwick Parish Council are asking for volunteers to join us in getting Whitwick cleaned up. If you are interested in this litter picking scheme and would like to learn more on how to get involved please email clerk@whitwickparishcouncil.gov.uk or call the office team on 01530 459527.

Other ways you can get involved to help keep the village cleaner and tidier could be :

  • Reporting full or overflowing litter bins to Leicester County Council
  • Taking large household items to either the Coalville or Lount tip
  • Keeping the streets outside our own homes clean and free of litter
