On Thursday 8th May 2025 we will be celebrating the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
We will be starting the event with a military vehicle parade, which will set off from The Man Within Compass (Rag and Mop) public house.
The route will then finish up at The City of Dan, where the public can get their pictures taken next to the military Jeeps.

We hope to see many of you lining the route – have a drink at your local pub while you wait for them to arrive, or stand on the roadside and wave a flag to support the drivers of the vehicles.

Location 1 – Man Within Compass pub – start point 6.30pm
Down Loughborough Road > down Cademan Street >right at City of Dan > on to Market Place
Location 2 – White Horse pub
Go along North Street
Location 3 – Black Horse pub
Left on North Street, right down The Dumps, onto City of Three Waters
Location 4 – Hare and Hounds pub
Right out of pub, right onto Mossdale, left onto Carterdale, left onto Talbot Street, onto North Street
