Whitwick Parish Council would like to invite you to a service of remembrance followed by the dedication of a grave marker to commemorate the 140 year anniversary of the birth of John Albert Gee 1884-1898, who was lost in the Whitwick Mining Disaster, aged just 14 years .
Please join us to remember the sacrifices given by our ancestors to build our industrial heritage.
The service will be held at 1pm on Sunday 13th October at St Andrews Church, Main Street, Thringstone LE67 8NA, with the dedication to follow afterwards.
