Whitwick Parish Council recently applied for 420 free tree saplings from the Woodland Trust communities initiative and are now planting them across the village.
200 of the saplings received under this scheme have already been planted around the Parsonwood Hill Recreation Ground perimeter fence by Property Management & General Purposes Committee members, Councillor Anthony Barker and Mrs A Barker.
