The Parish Council held an extra meeting on Thursday 4 August to agree its response to NWLDC and the details that they had shared with us and residents attending our meeting on 21 July.  The Parish Council is now challenging the process being undertaken by NWLDC because retention of the building and possible community ownership was not being considered as an option and we believe that should not be ruled out.  We are endeavouring to get more facts on the condition of the building.

The Parish Council absolutely does not support demolition which was the recommendation put to District Councillors to approve (before information was provided to the parish council as part of a full and fair consultation process).  Our requests for the outcome of the numerous previous consultations, updates and a presentation of clear facts had been delayed several times.  The District Council has not decided on the future of this site. The Parish Council do not support building or development on this leisure land.
